Are you fat? Do you wanna burn those extra fats? Do you wanna calculate your calories? Do you wanna know the technique to lose weight like really fast? Like in just 2 hours?
Then obviously this is not the place. Its just a blog bro!
I totally don't understand why I am taking this big a risk. I am not a type of person who normally stick to the plan and most of the time end up doing some extraneous activity. But as they say, passion and commitment for something can drive us to any extend we want. So yeah, here I am, sharing my story to anyone who reads my blog, but mainly to myself.
My story wouldn't be complete without me mentioning about UAE. We are both very well connected. More like a connection between Batman and Joker. Long story short, prolonged job hunt and bundles of depressions (due to job hunt) stressed me out (which is another story for later) for which the only solution I found in was EATING collaborated with bunch of series like Game of Thrones, Sherlock Holmes, Quantico, How to get away with murder and hell lot of other movies. So intrinsically, I gained a lot of weight and I blame UAE for all this.
I was training myself to be a numb. But after getting a job, just like everyone else, I thought I will be back to normal. But Ta-da! Welcome to the world of over-weight-trying-to-lose-weight-forever community!
Apart from the OMG!, AAAH look at her!, Did you gain weight? Your so fat!! expressions I get from every person who knew me and two times of these when I go back to India, the only thing I was worried about was less options for dress. So I decided to work out. As usual.
I learned and read all about calories, BMI, fats, proteins, carbs, what to eat, what not to eat and every weight loss success stories. Also Broccoli.
But the only books that gave me comfort was Rajuta Diwekars "Dont Lose your Mind, Lose your weight" and Shilpa Shetty's "The Great Indian Diet". Both the books tell us to eat our traditional foods in the right way other than going for olive oils, boiled veggies, smoothies, protein shakes or any other western non-spicy food. Those food, according to me looks good in English movies only. Not in real life.
So I set my path to gym in my building and considered Lee Labrada (a former IFBB professional bodybuilder) as my coach since the bodybuilding.com courses were free at the time and his training was the best I felt.
I was disciplined like 100%. No sugar, No carbs, No flour, No soft drinks. Everything was on track. The first 2 weeks were the toughest and I almost gave up when my friend Murshid (a before-after hero himself) told me to overcome one more week. and he was right! I found it easy to workout and control my diet after that. Exercise was a real fun thing. Especially what I love the most was strength training. I used to go with Aju (hubby).
2 months we enjoyed our lives and gym when I got a long leave in office and we decided to hit India. It all happened after my return, gym timings changed! Ladies timings: 7 in the morning to 7 in the evening! Which is exactly my office timing! So I left gym.
For many days I did control my diet. But exercising from Home was not my thing. So I end up watching series again and eating.
And now today, I am planning to start working out again in a gym. I've found a new one nearby. I don't wanna give up this time. And hence this post. So that if I fail at this, I better have a good reason.
Some of my pictures during my gym days.
What I ate those days
So I am committing myself to write my updates every week. Hope this works.
